f14help wins the contract to supply and install new systems for AdPad.

Based on a recommendation from an existing customer f14help will be supplying and installing a complete system for new venture Adpad.

Dell latitude laptops supporting 4G for out of office connectivity and docking stations with Dell 24" pro series monitors for efficiency in the office will be connected to a Dell R330 server running Windows Server 2016 essentails (virtualised on Hyper-V).

BDR concenrs are covered by the superb Altaro VM backup with Office licensing and email handled via Office 365 which integrates seemlesly with Server 2016 Essentials.

New Server for Ocean Healthcare.

After working through the existing systems at Ocean it was obvious that this growing business needed a server. We are scheduled to install a Dell T330 running Windows Server Esssentials 2016 which will integrate nicely with Ocean's existing Office 365 plans.

As the license for Windows Sever 2016 Essentials allows for Virualisation the Server will be virtual on Hyper-V with the superb Altaro VM backup software for BDR.

This work will be completed over a weekend to minimise business disruption.

f14help wins the contract to support Paignton based Ocean Healthcare.

Ocean were looking for a reliable local support company with experience in Microsoft office 365. A strong recommendation from an employee that had worked with us at another company and the fact the f14hep is a Microsoft Silver Partner for Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions was enough to seal the deal.

We are currently implementing a few stop gap measures while we carryout a full assessment and provide some recommendations.

f14help completes the migration of Totnes European School.

Working over the weekend to minimise business disruption f14help migrates Totnes European School to new hardware, new server operating system and new domain. It was decided early in the plan that migration of the old 2003 domain was not going to offer much and would likely cause issues so a new domain was created with data and user profiles migrated manually.

We used Altaro VM backup free edition which made it quick and easy to backup the old server then add the VHD's to the new VM for data transfer.

f14help migrates Neil Wilson Accountants to Office 365.

In prepartion for the move to new server hardware later in the year we are moving Neil Wilson to Office 365 from the on premis Exchange included with thier current Small Busines Server 2011. The existing hardware has reached the end of avialable warranty cover and the business, quite understandably, does not want to run unsupported hardware.

f14help takes over support for Totnes European School.

As part of a total system review at TES f14help will be migrating their existing POP3 mail system to Office 365 before upgrading their server and other systems.

Windows 2012 R2 Essentials virtualised on a Dell R330 will bring TES up to date and provide direct intergration with their Office 365 subscription.

f14help begins work on the next stage of the RPSH system for Central Facilities.

The new additions to the already successful system will allow users to enter and track laundry usage and supplier performance and provide advanced staff rotaring information crucial for correct budgeting.

f14help wins the contract to install a new Remote Desktop Services server for Trevor George Entertainments.

Following the aquisition of TGE by London based Sternberg Clarke there was a requirement to provide remote access to the proprietry company database system developed in house by director Duncan Clarke. The system was built using the dataease platform and has been installed onto a new RDS server (a Dell R430 running Windows Server 2012 R2 as a Hyper-V host for the RDS VM).

f14help delivers Beta version of the Deal Manager Software for testing by Bulldog Licensing.

We made the new application available for testing by Bulldog users via couple of virtual machines running on a Hyper-V host at our Torquay office. Full rollout has been delayed slightly while Bulldog await some hardware upgrades at their offices in Bromley.

f14help moves Aspire Electrical to Office 365.

f14help moves Aspire from their on premise Exchange 2010 to Office 365. Aspire have a combination of the Business Essentials plan for field workers and Business Premium which includes the Office 2016 Desktop application for office based staff.

We performed a cutover migration over a weekend to ensure no loss of mail flow and limited business disruption.

Working closely with the IT department at Salisbury Hospital f14help gets Optima back online.

Recent increased security requirements meant that the previous remote connection method was no longer supported and the vital link to Optima's Salisbury clinic was severed.

With the help of the IT team at Salisibury NHS f14help was able to reinstate the connection and normal service was resumed.

f14help wins the contract to produce a custom software application for Bulldog Licensing.

Bulldogs rapidly expanding business has meant that their existing organically developed systems are nearing capacity. Working closely with Bulldog MD Rob Courney f14help will be developing a new Windows desktop application help manage the complex nature of the data.

The systems is being built to run on the companies new RDS server providing access on the local network and on a variety of mobile devices via Microsofts Remote App technology.

The new system will be developed with Visual Studio 2015 and the Telerik control suite with Microsoft SQL server 2104 as the backend.

Development is expected to take 3 months.

f14help install new FTP Server for Centum Publishing.

With Virgin cable now available at their new offices Centum are able to have their own FTP server.

f14help installed a new Dell Server running Windows Server 2012 R2 and the superb Crush FTP.

f14help moves Centum Publishing.

Centum Publishing moved into their new offices in Newton Abbot. The completely refurbished building was finished in Early February and f14help transfered all their IT over the weekend to avoid down time.

f14help upgrades Aspire Electrical to Windows 10.

Taking advantage of the Windows 10 offer Aspire moves all it's desktops to Windows 10 and at the same time replaces the existing SATA hard drives with SSD units giving a significant performance boost for a relatively small cost.

The RPSH system goes live.

f14help migrated the data from the orginal system to the new system over the weekend to minimise business disruption and the system went live to over 130 sites and more than 160 users.

f14help joins the NetJapan reseller program.

NetJapan's Active Image Protector software is a relatively new image based backup product to rival Shadow Protect. It is a little cheaper than SP which is suprising as it includes some great features that are paid extras in other products.

There is a superb deduplication function which (when backing up multiple servers) saves a lot of space and therefore time.

It also has as standard the ability to replicate your backup images to three additional targets which can be other drives, network folders, ftp, http and more!

We are now using Active Image Protector in house as our main production backup.

Gliddon Cars new server installation is going ahead this weekend.

f14help will carryout the installation of the new systems at Gliddon Cars over the coming weekend in order to minimise business down time. Working closely with PEAK support to migrate the main LOB application prior to the actual migration was a major part of providing a smooth transition to Server 2012 R2.

f14help wins the contract to upgrade the server for Optima Low Vision Services of Totnes.

With Windows Server 2003 EOL fast approaching Optima will be moving from their Dell T610 SBS 2003 server to a new Dell or Fujitsu server running Windows 2012 R2. Having already migrated their email to Office 365 last year we will be carrying the domain migration over a weekend to minimise business downtime.

The migration is scheduled for the start of Optima's new financial year in May.

f14help wins the contract to upgrade the systems for Gliddon Cars of Churston

We will be installing a new Dell or Futjitsu server running Windows 2012 R2 and migrating the company email to Office 365. As part of the upgrade most of the desktops will also be replaced with Dell or Fujitsu systems running Windows 7 (With Windows 8 Licensing) and SSD drives.

The migration is scheduled to begin with the email switch over in late April.

f14help begins work on a new project management system for Centum Books Ltd

f14help has been contracted to build a new web based project management system for local publisher Centum Books Ltd. The new system will be written in ASP.NET and SQL Server 2008 R2, with Telerik Ajax controls.

The application development is scheduled for 3 to 4 months and should be ready to coincide with Centum's move to their new offices in Newton Abbot later in the year.

f14help rolls out stage three of the productivity management system for CF. The timesheeting add-on has gone smoothly and the project was deliverd on time and budget.

f14help moves Paul Dollins Accountants from workgroup to domain.

PDA managed to secure an almost new Dell T110 2 server running Small Business Essentails 2011 which integrates seemlessly with the existing Office 365 making it an ideal first server for any business with less than 25 users. f14help reinstalled the operating system and configured the server for the clients business before installing it at their offices and migrating their systems and data from the existing work group network to the new domain based setup.

f14help begins work on stage three of the productivity management system for Central Facilities. The additional financial module has been put back in favour of a new timesheet system that will be implemented in the smaller hotels to begin with and then across all sites in 2015.

The project expected to take two months to complete will allow CF to migrate away from their current less flexible system to a specific tailored product.

f14help wins the contract to upgrade the server for Olive Branch Care Agency.

This successful and expanding local business has outgrown it's orginal SBS 2008 server supplied and installed by us back in 2009. With the hardware warranty on the server expiring this year it was a good time to look at upgrading.

We will be moving their exchange to the cloud with Office 365 Exchange Online and installing a new Dell T320 server running Windows Server 2012 R2 giving some headroom to cope with expected future expansion.

f14help supplies and installs new systems for Paul Dollins Accountants in Torquay. The growing practice has added new workstations and an NAS to it's setup to help centralise data and cope with new staff joining the team.

Centum Books (formerly Century Books) is also growing and f14help has been upgrading the existing equipment. We have increased the server memory and added an additional 2TB of RAID 5 storage as well as expanding the backup capacity. In addition we have supplied and installed new Dell Optiplex workstations and an iMac for the new team members.

Later this month we will be migrating Loughtons from their Office 365 E3 plan (which they were incorrectly sold prior to our involvment) and setting them up on the Office 365 Small Business Premium plan which is much better suited to their needs and offers a significant saving.

Stage three, the financial module, is currently being specified with development scheduled to start in the next month. The financial module will be a Windows desktop application running on the companies RDS (terminal) server.

f14help begins migrating Alpha Financial Services to Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2.

Alpha have been running SBS 2003 which has served them very well but will be end of life in April of this year. Having migrated their desktops to Windows 7 and Office 2010 / 2013 some time ago they are now ready to complete the migration away from the 2003 platform.

Stage one of the process we will be moving their on site exchange to Office 365 in the cloud. Stage two will be the installation of a new Dell PowerEdge server running Windows Server 2012 Essentials.

Optima are currently running SBS 2003 which will be end of life in April of this year. Having already upgraded all the desktops to Office 2013 and Windows 7 the migration from the soon to be unsupported server 2003 platform will be nearly complete when Optima's exchange is transferred to the cloud.

With Neil Wilson expanding and opening offices at a second location a solution was required providing access to company files and LOB applications. f14help will be supplying new dual monitor Dell Optiplex workstations and installing a new Dell Poweredge server for the second site linked to the main site via VPN. In the main site a new terminal server will be added to the existing SBS 2011 domain to provide remote access to LOB applications.

This solution will be greatly enhanced by the arrival in the area of Virgin business cable service offering 50mb download and 10mb upload, due end of May.

The three month project will replace the existing SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services based solution which has become glitchy and difficult to maintain. Using Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 f14help will build a new ASP.NET interface and Sage data export routine to present accurate meaningful data to the field based sales team.

f14help upgrades the network installation at Gliddon Cars. Like many businesses the Gliddon Cars network had grown organically over time with lots of additions that could make managing the system a bit of a headache.

Working over the weekend to minimise business downtime we installed a new data cabinet to house a new gigabit rack mounted network switch and patch panel along with a power distrution bar and a shelf for ancilliary items such as the ADSL modem and fibre to copper convertors.

f14help delivers the first BETA of the OSCAR OCA module one week ahead of schedule.

Optima asked if it was possible to bring the delivery date for the OCA module forward by a massive four weeks. The project was orginally slated for three months but we drafted in additional developers to accelerate completion and delivered within the shortened deadline.

f14help begins development work on the OCA extension for the OSCAR system which was originally developed for Optima Low Vision Services in December 2010.

As not all of the clinic locations have hard wired internet access or 3G the OCA extension will provide the Therapists with the ability to record low vision assessment data while working disconnected from the main system and synchronise at a later time.

Trevor George has commissioned a new web site and as part of this change f14help has moved their web hosting and reconfigured their exchange server. Installing a Draytek 2830 business class firewall router to protect the network and upgrading the anti-virus to meet the new demands.

f14help upgrades Optima's router to the new Draytek 2830.

The existing Netgear router was suffering with some stability problems and with very limited logging, diagnosis was difficult. The Draytek 2830 is a true business class product, object based and highly configurable it also supports triple wan failover with the option for a 3G dongle as one of the backup connections if required.
